A Brief History of Goodness Omogo Leadership Academy (GOLA)
Goodness Omogo Leadership Academy was born from a vision of compassion, service, and leadership. Following the painful loss of Samuel Omogo in 2011, Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Omogo began a mission to provide clean and safe drinking water to rural communities in Ebonyi State through the Samuel Omogo Foundation. What started with a single borehole project in Mater Dei Parish Umuoguduoshia grew into a movement that has provided over 500 boreholes across communities in the state.
Built on the pillars of Water, Education, and Health, the Foundation later expanded its focus to education with the establishment of Goodness Omogo Leadership Academy (GOLA).
The Academy was founded to provide holistic education that forms students academically, morally, spiritually, and socially. GOLA is committed to raising future leaders through excellence in academics, leadership training, technology, entrepreneurship, discipline, sports, and character formation.

Located in Ebonyi State, the school features modern classrooms, hostels, administrative facilities, staff quarters, and other essential structures designed to create a safe and inspiring learning environment.
As the Academy prepares for its official academic take-off in September 2026, GOLA remains dedicated to its mission of nurturing every child to learn, grow, and lead with integrity and purpose.
